neuropathy is the deterioration of some of the nerves throughout your body. It typically results in tingling, weakness, or numbness and pain in the area affected. Neuropathies generally begin with your feet and hands however they can also affect other parts of your body too. The symptoms usually indicate problems with your peripheral nerve system.

- Needles and pins within the body part affected.
- Loss of balance or lack of coordination
- Pain or burning
- Numbness
- Muscle weakness
- The muscles are thinned
- Low blood pressure
- Inability to control bowels
- Double vision
- The loss of sexual function
These are just one of a handful of symptom manifestations. What is the reason these symptoms appear? What is the mechanism behind neuropathy?
What is the peripheral nervous system?
The peripheral nerve system is made up of a web of nerves located outside your spinal cord and brain (central nervous system). Both systems work to regulate the body. Your peripheral nervous system lays the foundations for signals to be transmitted throughout the body via the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord).
If you experience neuropathy in the first place, it is a sign of destruction of nerve cells known as neurons. If neurons are injured or killed, they affect the way bodies communication. Neuropathy may affect a particular nerve or a number of nerves throughout the body, which can affect motor skills, senses and bodily functions.
Neuropathy is extremely common, as it’s believed to be between 25 to 30 percent of Americans that have been affected by neuropathy. Neuropathy’s causes vary from autoimmune conditions and infections, to injuries or diabetics (the most frequently cited). Although the symptoms may range from mild to severe like sharp pain, paralysis, and there are methods to lessen the symptoms and gain control over your body.
Neuropathy LED Light Therapy

Its not rocket science, its quite simple, but the technology was developed by NASA. The typical treatment for neuropathy doesn’t address the root causes; instead it focuses only on symptoms. But far infrared therapy for neuropathy can do both. So, how can light therapy benefit neuropathy? Red light therapy utilizes the energy of light to pass through the skin and stimulate the cellular energy. In turn, the body improves blood circulation. It also decreases swelling, and offers relief from pain to the areas treated. By utilizing Red Light Therapy it improves the circulation of blood flow to normal and symptoms are decreased. The study found that the red light therapy improves cell energy, which allows for faster recovery and improved results. A different study discovered that treatment with red light reduces pain hypersensitivity and enhances motor function in people suffering from mild spinal cord injuries.
People suffering from neuropathy may cure themselves using non-invasive, not-pharmacological techniques like treatment with red lights. Instead, using just red light therapy could decrease and even remove the uncomfortable and painful symptoms caused by neuropathy.
